Terms of service

Last updated 24 September 2026. These terms govern the sale of raw materials by Inventory Handling & Logistics ("IHL") to the buyer named on the order ("you"). Placing an order means you accept them.

1. Who we sell to

Materials on this site are sold for use as ingredients in cosmetic and personal care formulations, for business use. You are responsible for confirming that a material suits your formula, your process and your market, and for the safety substantiation, labeling and regulatory status of any finished product you make with it.

2. Orders and prices

Prices are in US dollars and apply to the pack sizes shown on each product page. Prices can change without notice; the price shown when your order is placed is the price for that order. Quantities above the listed packs are sold on a written quote stating price, lead time, origin and payment terms, valid for the period stated on it. Obvious pricing or specification errors do not bind us. If one occurs we will contact you and either confirm the corrected price or cancel and refund the order.

3. Payment

Catalog orders are paid by card at checkout. Quoted orders are paid on the terms stated on the quote. We may hold shipment on an account with an overdue balance.

4. Taxes

Sales tax is applied where required. If you hold a valid resale or exemption certificate, send it to accounts@inventoryhandling.com before ordering and we will apply the exemption in every state where it is valid. Exemptions are not applied retroactively to orders already placed.

5. Shipping, title and risk

Ship dates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for loss caused by a delay. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the goods are handed to the carrier. Inspect every shipment on arrival. Report visible damage or shortage within five business days of delivery, with photographs and the packing slip, or the shipment is treated as accepted.

6. Specification, documents and lots

Each shipment is supplied against its lot certificate of analysis, and that certificate is the specification for that shipment. Technical data, use rates, formulary examples and application guidance published on this site are starting points for your own bench work, not specifications, and none has been through stability or challenge testing. Verify against the certificate of analysis for your lot.

7. Returns and cancellation

Unopened, sealed containers in salable condition may be returned within 30 days of delivery, with a 10% restocking charge. Opened containers, repacked material and material stored outside its stated conditions cannot be returned. Quoted and custom-packed orders may be cancelled for a 15% charge before the lot is picked and cannot be cancelled after. Ask the sourcing desk for a return authorisation before shipping anything back.

8. Warranty

We warrant that material supplied conforms to the certificate of analysis for its lot at the time of shipment. That is the only warranty we give. All other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the extent the law allows.

9. Limit of liability

Our total liability on any claim connected to an order is limited to the price paid for the material that claim concerns. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost production, recall costs, or the cost of finished product made with the material.

10. Compliance and export

You are responsible for complying with the law wherever you make, sell and ship your finished product. You will not resell or export material in breach of US export control or sanctions law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts serving Utah County, Utah have jurisdiction.
