Quality & documents

Every document we hold, free, with no account

  • Safety Data Sheet. GHS 16-section format per 29 CFR 1910.1200(g), current to the 2024 HazCom amendment.
  • Technical Data Sheet. Full specification: identity, assay, physical properties, use rates and formulation guidance.
  • Certificate of Analysis. Lot-specific. Assay, appearance, heavy metals, microbial limits, residual solvents where relevant.
  • Allergen statement. Signed. Covers the FDA major allergens plus the tree-nut edge cases.
  • GMO statement. Signed. Feedstock declared, not implied.
  • BSE / TSE statement. Signed.
  • Vegan declaration. Signed, including the growth-medium substrate for the ferments, which is where vegan claims usually break.
  • RSPO / origin certificate. Mass Balance documentation on every palm-derived material.

We send documents on request. Ask on the contact form and we will send everything we hold for the lot you are buying, usually the same business day. No account, no vendor-qualification fee, ever.

Lot-level traceability

Before you order you can see the lot we will ship, its certificate of analysis, its manufacture date and its retest date. After you order, that lot number is on your packing slip and in your order history.

Testing we run

  • Arsenic on every rice material. Rice bioaccumulates arsenic, inorganic arsenic compounds are Prop 65-listed, and rice powder is the solid fraction where it concentrates.
  • Aloin and decolorization on aloe. Non-decolorized whole-leaf aloe has been a listed carcinogen since December 2015. We supply a written decolorization statement and an aloin specification under 10 ppm.
  • Amorphous silica confirmation on bamboo. Crystalline respirable silica is listed; amorphous is not. That distinction is the difference between a Prop 65 warning and none.
  • Residual ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane on ethoxylates. Polyquaternium-10 is made using ethylene oxide. Both are listed and New York's finished-product limits are now unwaivable.

Certified gluten-free means tested, not assumed

Oats are inherently gluten-free and almost universally cross-contaminated with wheat, barley and rye in the field and at the mill. Carrying a gluten-free claim on colloidal oatmeal without a certificate and a test result under 20 ppm is the most common labeling error in oat-derived cosmetics. Ours is certified and tested per lot.
